CRISworks enhanced to include new CompanyWatch feature

CreditWork's is pleased to announce the introduction of CompanyWatch - a New Zealand first  designed to allow CRISworks members to set up Companies Office watches on debtors (companies only), for a number of key parameters, including:
 
- Company Address change
- Company address for communication change
- Company address for service charge change
- Company name change
- Change in company number of shares
- Company status change
- Director address change
- Director deletion
 -Director name change
- New director

Where a member has a company on a CompanyWatch, and the CRISworks companies database identifies a change under the selected criteria, a notification email will be triggered & sent to a nominated email address.

CompanyWatch - Helping Credit Lenders to meet ongoing PPSA Obligations

A relatively unknown aspect of the Personal Property Securities Act (PPSA) is that if a debtor who has a charge registered over it on the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR), changes its name and the secured party has 'knowledge' of the name change, then the secured party must register a financing change statement (amending the initial financing statement to record the name change) within 15 calendar days of acquiring the 'knowledge'.

Failure to register a financing change statement within the 15 day period may result in the secured party losing all priority over the security in relation to other secured parties.
